The rugged cordless 2D scanner at arm's length rather than across a yard. Everything the DS3678-2D-XR is, without the extreme-range optics — and three hundred dollars less for not needing them.
Kit is the scanner, a shielded USB cable, the cradle, its power supply and the DC lead, plus the mains cord. Three year warranty, which is what the whole rugged 3600 range carries.
Why this one
The one most warehouses actually need.
The XR exists for racking you cannot reach. If your labels are on the carton in your hand, this is the same scanner without the part you are not using.

Standard range is most scanning
Picking from a carton, checking a pallet label at the face, reading a docket at a bench. All of it happens within arm's reach, and paying for extreme range you never use is money that could have been a second scanner.

It is the cheaper half of a pair
$1,695 against $1,999. If some of your scanning is at height and some is not, the honest answer is often one of each rather than two of the expensive one.
Not in stock until November 2026. It can be ordered and held, but nothing ships before then and we will not take money for a wait. The whole rugged cordless 2D range is on the same date, so if the timing does not suit, the question becomes whether corded will do — the DS3608 is the same scanner on a cable at $950. Ring and we will tell you what is genuinely on the shelf that day rather than what a webpage said last month.

Warranty
3 years, return to base — the unit comes back to us for repair or replacement rather than somebody coming out to you. Warranty runs by model rather than by price, so it is worth checking against whatever else you are comparing.

Not in stock until 1 November 2026
This one is worth saying before anything else on the page. It can be ordered now and it will be held for you, but it does not ship until stock lands in 1 November 2026. If you need a scanner before then, ring us and we will tell you what is on the shelf today instead of selling you a wait.

Nothing is paid until it is close
We do not take money months ahead for something sitting in a container. Tell us what you need and we will put your name against it; the quote and the payment happen when the stock is in sight.

Tell us the part number and how many
That is genuinely all we need. You get a written quote back with freight worked out to your actual address, because a scanner to Parramatta and one to Port Hedland are not the same delivery and we would rather not pretend otherwise. A new account pays before it ships, and the clock starts when the payment confirms.
